Outings are organised around the area to discover the different groups and services in the parish and the diocese (volunteering, charity work, groups and so on), alternating with the occasional catechism session. Parents are welcome but not required to take part.",

      "Every year the Parish of Saints Joseph and Anthony in Arma di Taggia offers around ten meetings covering a wide range of themes, so that couples can reflect without hurry on such an important step.",
      "The meetings usually take place in winter, from late January to March, one evening a week. They are led by Don Alessio together with some married couples who share their experience with the engaged couples.",

Because GREST is part of the oratory, and the oratory does not go on holiday in summer!",

      "A summer activity with real educational value, built on children of different ages living and playing side by side with their leaders. Together with Don Enrico they play, learn, work and have fun, with a special focus on the Christian faith.",

      "The day begins early, at 8:30, with a moment of prayer, followed by 30–40 minutes of schoolwork during which the leaders help the children with their holiday homework. Then comes the snack break. After the break there are team games or sports.",
      "Thursday is a special day, set aside for Mass, which all the children attend before the snack and the games.",
      "In the afternoon, after a moment of prayer, the children are taken to the beach at La Fortezza. Back at the oratory there is always time for more play before the parents arrive."

      "In early August there is a week-long summer camp in the mountains. One day is set aside for a hike in the surrounding area, while the other days are filled with activities much like those at the oratory: treasure hunts, Olympics, moments of prayer, games, Mass…",
      "During the GR.EST. months there are also competitions in various Olympic sports, with a prize-giving at the end of the summer: cups and medals for all the participants.",

      "Scout Group Arma di Taggia 1 was born in the early 1960s from the wish of a young priest, Don Enrico, to let the youngsters who came to the Oratory experience the adventure of scouting.",
      "Although it did not belong to any recognised organisation, the Group has always been inspired by the educational method of the FSE (Federazione Scout d'Europa).",
      "In February 2001, at the founder's suggestion, it was decided to make the Group \"official\" by registering it as a member of the Associazione Italiana Guide e Scout d'Europa Cattolici.",
      "The Group is named after San Giovanni Lantrua, a saint born in Molini di Triora, in the hinterland of our valley, who died a martyr in China during his mission of evangelisation in the early 1800s. Recently we have also been able to open a small girls' section, thanks to the arrival of a qualified leader from an FSE group in Sicily who moved to our area for work and got in touch with us to continue her Service."

      "Our youngsters meet weekly from September to June, leading up to the summer camps held in July and August. Great importance is given to \"life in the open air\", where contact with nature plays a fundamental role.",
      "Even in autumn and winter, helped by our area's mild climate, we try to hold most of our activities outdoors: starting from the grounds of our Oratory, moving on to the beaches and, with the older ones, venturing out on trips of one or more days into our wonderful hinterland.",
      "We have given each Unit of the Group a special, meaningful name that recalls something distinctive about our culture and our land: the \"Giglio Selvatico\" Pack, inspired by a rare, protected flower typical of our mountains which, besides being the symbol of the Scouts, stands for purity; the \"La Fortezza\" Troop, in honour of the fortress that stands on the coast guarding the valley and as a reminder of the cardinal virtue of fortitude; the \"Stella Maris\" Clan, in honour of Mary and of our closeness to the sea; and the girls' Fire \"Chiara Luce Badano\", in memory of the Ligurian Blessed whose life is an example for our girls."

      "The parish has two main choirs: one leads the singing at the 10:00 Sunday Mass, accompanied by the organ, and a second choir, accompanied by guitars, leads the music at the 11:00 children's Mass.",
      "Besides the Sunday Mass with the children, the \"Per i Ragazzi\" choir also sings at other celebrations such as Confirmations, First Communions, wedding anniversaries and feast days (Don Bosco, Maria Ausiliatrice, patronal feasts…).",
      "Historically, as far back as 40 years ago, the children's Mass was led by young people who, attending the two Salesian oratories (Don Bosco and Maria Ausiliatrice), learned to sing and play the guitar and put themselves at the service of the liturgy. That tradition has been handed down to the present day, with guitarists and singers passing on the baton.",
      "Today the choir is made up of around 25 singers, 4 guitarists and 2 directors who take turns according to need and availability.",
      "Those who take part are mostly parish families, often first involved on occasions such as First Communions or Confirmations, accompanying their children and then staying on in the choir.",
      "The choir meets every fortnight, usually on Tuesday evening, to rehearse, both for the Sunday liturgy and for special occasions such as Christmas, Easter and Confirmations, which sometimes call for extra rehearsals."
